Humboldt Community Christian School
Humboldt Community Christian School integrates Christian discipleship with academic achievement and cultural appreciation to prepare future leaders and citizens, and to equip students to grow into adults who think clearly, communicate effectively, and pray fervently. We share the hope we have found in Jesus Christ with our students and their families, coming along side them to meet their intellectual, physiological, and spiritual needs.
In 2007, 8th grade student George Velazquez made an excellent video presentation that captures some of what HCCS is all about. We hope you enjoy watching it.
Humboldt Community Christian School provides a Christ-centered education to families regardless of their social and economic status. Many of our students are from lower-income families. Our personalized approach to education allows us to address the needs of the whole child--spiritual, academic, physical, social, and emotional.
Throughout our Elementary program, a Christian worldview is developed. Each subject area integrates faith and learning with questions guiding students into a greater understanding of God's world and their part in it. Students learn Biblical principles integrated throughout the curriculum.
We are committed to developing a personalized educational program for students from diverse backgrounds and various learning styles. Teachers use and develop curriculum materials based on the academic standards set by the State of Illinois, with specific grade-level content expectations.
We believe the Scriptures, both Old and New testaments, to be the inspired Word of God without error in the original writings, the complete revelation of God's will for the salvation of men, and the divine and final authority for all Christian faith and life.
