High Educational Standards for Everyone

Humboldt Community Christian School provides a Christ-centered education to families regardless of their social and economic status. Many of our students are from lower-income families. Our personalized approach to education allows us to address the needs of the whole child--spiritual, academic, physical, social, and emotional.

Throughout our Elementary program, a Christian worldview is developed. Each subject area integrates faith and learning with questions guiding students into a greater understanding of God's world and their part in it. Students learn Biblical principles integrated throughout the curriculum.

We are committed to developing a personalized educational program for students from diverse backgrounds and various learning styles. Teachers use and develop curriculum materials based on the academic standards set by the State of Illinois, with specific grade-level content expectations. Ongoing student assessments, based on these standards, help guide teacher planning of instruction.

The ABCs of HCCS

At Humboldt Community Christian School, our commitment is to the development of the whole child:

Academically

At Humboldt Community Christian School, we recognize that every student is unique, and that children learn in different ways. Our small class sizes encourage our students to work together to achieve academic excellence, but also think independently.

Biblically

HCCS is committed to helping students understand Christ’s teachings. We work to inspire faithful disciples of Christ who embody spiritual values, hold fast to biblical truths, and live out a commitment to God. We minister not only to our students, but also to their families, proclaiming the good news of Jesus Christ.

Culturally

At HCCS, we embrace and celebrate cultural diversity as a reflection of God’s own creativity. We teach our students to have pride in themselves and respect for others in a multi-cultural society. We pray that this helps them to make a positive difference in this world, and to lead lives rooted in Christ.
