Admission and Enrollment at HCCS

Welcome to Humboldt Community Christian School!

We offer Pre-K through 8th grade from 8:30 AM till 3:00 PM with class sizes from 10 to 20 students. The 2011-12 registration fees for one child are $250. These fees include $130 for registration, $100 for books and materials, and a $20 trip fee. A non-refundable $130 fee must be paid when you register to hold a slot for your child, and the remaining $120 is due by August 1st. Registration for a second child is $45, and for a third and subsequent children is $25 in addition to the book and trip fees. The first tuition payment is due prior to or on the first day of school.

Tuition is $3,200 and is divided into 9 monthly payments due on the 1st of each month. A limited number of scholarships is available for low-income families. Scholarship amounts are based on total family income.

A hot lunch program is offered which requires filling out an application to assess cost. Our lower grade students need to bring a mid-morning nutritious snack.

Our students wear uniforms consisting of white or navy blue button shirts with a collar or polo shirts, and navy blue khaki style pants or skirts. Our students also wear a gym uniform that can be purchased at the beginning of the school year.

Before and after school care is available. Since this care is optional, there is an additional charge. The fees for these programs can range from $40 to $100 per month per child. We accept funds from Action for Children which can cover all these fees and the tuition for Pre-K but you need to qualify through them.

The ABCs of HCCS

At Humboldt Community Christian School, our commitment is to the development of the whole child:

Academically

At Humboldt Community Christian School, we recognize that every student is unique, and that children learn in different ways. Our small class sizes encourage our students to work together to achieve academic excellence, but also think independently.

Biblically

HCCS is committed to helping students understand Christ’s teachings. We work to inspire faithful disciples of Christ who embody spiritual values, hold fast to biblical truths, and live out a commitment to God. We minister not only to our students, but also to their families, proclaiming the good news of Jesus Christ.

Culturally

At HCCS, we embrace and celebrate cultural diversity as a reflection of God’s own creativity. We teach our students to have pride in themselves and respect for others in a multi-cultural society. We pray that this helps them to make a positive difference in this world, and to lead lives rooted in Christ.

Our Vision

We are dedicated to preparing godly leaders within our community who will be the “salt of the earth,” full of hope, excelling in their educational pursuits, fulfilling their call, serving and exemplifying the Lord Jesus Christ with all their heart, soul and mind.
