Statement of Faith

We believe the Scriptures, both Old and New testaments, to be the inspired Word of God without error in the original writings, the complete revelation of God's will for the salvation of men, and the divine and final authority for all Christian faith and life.

We believe in one God, Creator of all things, infinitely perfect and eternally existing in a triune Godhead of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

We believe that Jesus Christ is true God and true man, having been conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He taught with authority as to how men should live. He died on the cross as sacrifice for our sins according to the Scriptures, arose bodily from the dead, and ascended unto God the Father, where He is now our High Priest and Advocate.

We believe the ministry of the Holy Spirit is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ, and during this age to convict men, regenerate lost humanity, indwell, guide, and empower the believer for godly living and service.

We believe that man was created in the image of God but fell into sin and is therefore alienated from God and only through regeneration by the Holy Spirit can salvation and spiritual life be obtained.

We believe that the shed blood of Jesus Christ and His resurrection provide the only means for justification and salvation for mankind, and only such as receive Jesus Christ are born of the Holy Spirit, and thus become children of God.

We believe that the true Church is composed of all persons who through saving faith in Jesus Christ have been regenerated by the Holy Spirit and are united together in the body of Christ of which He is the head.

We believe the personal and imminent coming of our Lord Jesus Christ is a "Blessed Hope" that has a vital bearing on the personal life and service of the believer.

We believe there shall be a bodily resurrection of the dead: of the believer to everlasting blessedness and joy with God, of the unbeliever to judgment and everlasting separation from God.

We believe that the Church is the vehicle used by God to bring humanity to repentance and newness of life.

The ABCs of HCCS

At Humboldt Community Christian School, our commitment is to the development of the whole child:

Academically

At Humboldt Community Christian School, we recognize that every student is unique, and that children learn in different ways. Our small class sizes encourage our students to work together to achieve academic excellence, but also think independently.

Biblically

HCCS is committed to helping students understand Christ’s teachings. We work to inspire faithful disciples of Christ who embody spiritual values, hold fast to biblical truths, and live out a commitment to God. We minister not only to our students, but also to their families, proclaiming the good news of Jesus Christ.

Culturally

At HCCS, we embrace and celebrate cultural diversity as a reflection of God’s own creativity. We teach our students to have pride in themselves and respect for others in a multi-cultural society. We pray that this helps them to make a positive difference in this world, and to lead lives rooted in Christ.
