Jennie began teaching first grade at Humboldt in 2010. She was born and raised in La Grange, IL. Jennie attended Illinois State University where she earned her bachelor’s degree in elementary and reading education. She enjoys teaching reading because it is foundational for every subject. Her favorite part about Humboldt is the close relationships and strong community in the school. Her favorite bible passage is 2 Corinthians 4:16-18 "Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal."

The ABCs of HCCS

At Humboldt Community Christian School, our commitment is to the development of the whole child:

Academically

At Humboldt Community Christian School, we recognize that every student is unique, and that children learn in different ways. Our small class sizes encourage our students to work together to achieve academic excellence, but also think independently.

Biblically

HCCS is committed to helping students understand Christ’s teachings. We work to inspire faithful disciples of Christ who embody spiritual values, hold fast to biblical truths, and live out a commitment to God. We minister not only to our students, but also to their families, proclaiming the good news of Jesus Christ.

Culturally

At HCCS, we embrace and celebrate cultural diversity as a reflection of God’s own creativity. We teach our students to have pride in themselves and respect for others in a multi-cultural society. We pray that this helps them to make a positive difference in this world, and to lead lives rooted in Christ.

Our Vision

We are dedicated to preparing godly leaders within our community who will be the “salt of the earth,” full of hope, excelling in their educational pursuits, fulfilling their call, serving and exemplifying the Lord Jesus Christ with all their heart, soul and mind.
